POSITION OVERVIEW

The General Laborer supports container builds and general production at Enklave's Harker Heights facility. This entry-level role assists multiple production crews with material handling, work-area preparation, basic assembly and production tasks, and shop organization while providing opportunities to develop construction, fabrication, and installation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Required

• Load, unload, move, and stage materials, supplies, and tools using safe handling methods.
• Fulfill shipping and receiving clerk responsibilities as requested.
• Prepare work areas and help crews keep materials organized and readily available.
• Assist carpentry, fabrication, door, flooring, painting, and electrical crews with assigned support tasks within training and supervision requirements.
• Assist with basic measuring, assembly, surface preparation, masking, and other production tasks as directed.
• Maintain clean work areas and clear walkways, collect scrap, and dispose of waste in designated locations.
• Use hand and power tools safely as trained and report damaged tools, unsafe conditions, and material shortages.
• Follow company safety procedures and use required protective equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Entry-level applicants are welcome; willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, organized, and willing to stay productive between assigned tasks.
• Attention to detail and willingness to assist different crews as production needs change.
• Interest in developing construction, fabrication, and installation skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of material handling, shop cleanup, and general production work.

Preferred

• Previous shop, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience.
• Forklift experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Compensation Range: $16-$20 per hour.
• Classification: Non-Exempt
